Scooters For Students

Posted on: April 26th, 2013 by Pulse No Comments

Scooters For StudentsAt colleges across the country, an increase in the number of scooters and motorcycles parked on campus has been noted. It seems that many students are taking advantage of the cost efficient benefits of these small vehicles. Because scooters cost so much less than a car to fill up, it often more than makes up for the costs of parking on campus. Times are tough for everyone and college students are no exception.

Some colleges are taking notice of the increasing trend and are offering on campus scooter service for students who opt to travel this way. College moped shops offer scooter sales with financing, scooter rentals, roadside service, and accessories. Not only do students save money by commuting to campus on a scooter, they enjoy cheaper parking rates and better parking spots on campus that save them time. Scooters can travel at speeds ranging from 40-80mph, so getting to class on time is never an issue. The only drawback is cold or rainy weather, but even in those instances there are buses, public transportation, or carpool options available. Overall, the benefits of scooter riding for college students make it all worthwhile. College officials expect to see a continued increase in scooter ownership in the coming years.

Electric Scooter Dealers Offer Alternatives To Driving A Car

Posted on: April 23rd, 2013 by Pulse No Comments

Alternatives To Driving A CarGas prices are rising fast and continue to show no signs of stopping. The cost of living is rising as well, so many of us are looking for ways to cut down on expenses in any way we can. Driving a car is one of the daily activities we can limit and perhaps end up saving money on. If your daily commute is only a mile or two each way, then think about fuel efficient alternatives.

Many choose to ride public transportation. It’s a choice that will cost you less, but you often spend a lot of extra time waiting for a bus or train, or arriving at your destinations late. Riding public transportation is also great because it takes a lot of the stress out of commuting. While your bus or train is making its way to the destination, you can spend that time reading, listening to music or otherwise relaxing.

If you need to be in control of the transportation you use daily, a motorcycle or electric scooter could be the right choice. They use far less fuel than a car and are good for making your way through traffic. Motorcycles and scooters are best for short distance commutes though, and the proper safety gear should always be worn. Electric scooter dealers will also be able to tell you about non electric, body powered scooters that are growing in popularity these days. These scooters now come in adult sizes and are great for making local trips quickly and efficiently. You’ll experience the city in a whole new way and meet people in your neighborhood while riding a scooter. That’s just not possible to do with a car. Scooters are fun, fast, and easy when it comes to getting around.

What The Best Electric Scooters Have In Common

Posted on: April 15th, 2013 by Pulse No Comments

Best Electric ScootersIf you’re in the market for a scooter, electric or otherwise, it’s important to keep a few things in mind. Chances are you’re ready to buy a scooter because you’re sick of rising gas prices and want to do something to save some money. Many who choose to ride a scooter as their main mode of transportation are concerned about their impact on the environment, and want to do something to lessen that impact. If this sounds like you then do a little research first to find out which are the best electric scooters for your lifestyle.

Motorized scooters are popular for city dwellers all over the world because they’re small, fast, and need little fuel to get going. These scooters work well for traveling by street only and for shorter distances. They still require gas to run, but at much less amounts than a vehicle would. If you’re concerned about carbon emissions, a motorized scooter still contributes some air pollution. It may not be as much as a vehicle, but it’s still a significant amount. IF that bothers you, think about purchasing an electric scooter.

These scooters require no fuel, just a charge from an electric source. Electric scooters only travel up to 10 mph, so you don’t get the same speed as you would with a motorized model. Still, electric scooters are great for short trips around your city or neighborhood. Whether you choose an electric or motorized model, you’ll notice a significant difference in the amount you spend on gas and the pollution you are producing to travel each day.

Green Transportation And How It Can Fit Into Your Life

Posted on: April 4th, 2013 by Pulse 1 Comment

Green TransportationAs more Americans look for ways to cut down on the cost of everyday living as well as live in a greener, more environmentally responsible way, transportation is one of the things that first comes to mind. Living in a metropolitan area usually provides you with several options for getting around. It’s easy enough to hail a cab, take a subway, or simply walk to your destination. However in many cities, public transportation is not so convenient. In places like that, you may have to rely on other alternatives, like scooters, if you’re one of the many looking to reduce your carbon footprint and also save a penny or two.

Electric and human-powered scooters are increasing in popularity for city dwellers who need quick, convenient transportation around town. Many are also choosing rideshares for regular, daily transportation to and from work or school. There is some debate over which method creates less pollution but no matter which you choose, in the end you’ll be making a positive impact. With so many choices available for getting around in modern cities, it’s a lot easier to lead a responsible, environmentally conscious lifestyle.

Would More Scooter Friendly City Design Help Or Hinder?

Posted on: April 1st, 2013 by Pulse No Comments

Scooter FriendlyThis is a dilemma that we are starting to face in today’s reality of traffic congestion and over population of cities around the nation and world for that matter.  Would making cities more scooter friendly help decrease the issues of traffic congestion that seem to be bogging down the cities and property of large metropolitan areas like San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York?

Sources say that increasing the availability to ride scooters safely would decrease the congestion we all experience on the highways and freeways and would certainly decrease the eco-footprint that we all make when we drive large SUVs and vehicles that emit carbon monoxide into the atmosphere.

Electric scooters would certainly help decrease all the problems that we experience because of the overuse of automobiles.  An electric scooter would be able to get you to the train or bus that can get you to work, and still it would be mobile enough that it would not hinder your daily routine.

This is a situation that should be strongly considered moving forward because the reliance on gas and oil in this country has reached an all time high, and doesn’t seem to be ebbing off anytime soon.

Scooter GamesA New Approach To Education

Education is one of the main concerns of parents everywhere.  There is a large amount of concern that is devoted to the activities and studies that are done within the schools that we send our children to.

This is a just cause, we want the best for our children and are concerned about things that will shape their minds and make them more or less impressionable to certain aspects in life.  There is a new fad that is coming up that could change the way physical education is approached in schools.  Scooter games are slowly being integrated into physical education classes around the nation.

This is a great opportunity for children to grow and experience an outside the box type approach to physical education.  There are many children who have received scooters as presents for Christmas or their birthdays and what better way to utilize them than to have scooters games in P.E.?

Realistically there are many different ways that you can incorporate scooters into games within the curriculum and it is a great way for kids to stay connected and interested in what they are allowed to do.  The fact that schools are staying relevant is a great move and it seems to be a win-win situation.

What Happened To Exercise?

Posted on: March 19th, 2013 by Pulse 1 Comment

In today’s day and age it is difficult to get our children to exercise.  There is so much competition with the television programs, the video games and other activities that children are presented with.  Exercise seems to take a back seat to all of these different activities.

What Happened To ExerciseThere has to be a way to get them to exercise, and the slither scooter is one such way.  There are many ways to incorporate physical activity into your children’s daily routine, and a scooter would certainly increase the level of physical activity that they were taking and increase the level of fun that they were having.

Another way to have them exercise is to allow them to use the Pulse Slither as a mode of transportation.  Getting to and from locations is slightly more difficult when you are younger.  To be honest, it was a major achievement to get where the destination was when we were all children.

It was a means of expressing a level of independence and truly gave us the feeling that we were able to accomplish the goals that we were set out to accomplish.  The physical activity was more of a side note, but it was something that was always taken into account when any of us were thinking of getting somewhere.

Reflecting back on the times of youth, it seemed that exercise was always involved.  There was always a better place to be, and it was going to take some time to get there because of the bike, slither scooter or skateboard that was being used to reach the ultimate goal of getting where we wanted to be.  Today however, it seems that the priorities have changed and there are many more video games than there are ways to get around for kids.

Scooters And EducationThink Scooters Are Just For Fun? They Can Be Used For Education As Well

Scooters have been around a little while so we can now see children on them frequently out in the streets and in skateparks across the nation.  The interesting thing about scooters is that they are now being used for an educational purpose.

There are many schools that seem to be using scooters to incorporate exercise into their lesson plans.  Learning about different consequences of low frequency of exercise is one such lesson.  Teachers are setting up lesson plans to help children understand the great effects of exercise and how that leads to a healthy heart and healthy living.

With all of the ways that we need to compete for the attention of our children due to the increased popularity of video games we all could take a few notes from these outside the box ideas about physical education.

The incorporation of physical exercise into different aspects of education seems to be a slightly obvious overture, but yet it is more or less about the way that it is being integrated into education, and what the children are learning.  The fact that we have teachers that are also concerned about the physical health of our children is a great feeling and we should all be so lucky.
