GoPro Cameras HERO3+

GoPro cameras have helped people taking part in action sports find ways to capture their adventures on camera. While previously it may have been next-to-impossible for someone who was surfing, biking, skateboarding, riding a scooter, or snowboarding to capture the action, GoPro cameras helped make it possible. Due to GoPro innovating in the action sports niche, it has grown greatly in popularity. They have created ways for users to mount the cameras, which are waterproof, to use while engaging in activities like surfing. The result is that users are able to film high-quality footage that previously may have been out of reach for the average amateur photographer. They also offer a wide range of accessories and mounts, so that the user can find the product that best suits whatever shot they’re trying to capture, such as:

  • The Bodyboard Mount
  • Junior Chesty (Chest Harness)
  • Jaws: Flex Clamp
  • Tripod Mounts
  • Vented Helmet Strap Mount
  • Wrist Housing

GoPro Targeting A Wider Audience

GoPro has achieved great success with the actions sports crowd, but with their latest release they are trying to target a wider audience with their offerings. GoPro’s popularity has stemmed from their cameras being able to attain “wow” perspectives that found a place amongst people seeking to capture their extreme adventures. But for people who would like those benefits for more everyday activities, GoPro has released two cameras aimed at a wider audience, the Hero4Silver and the Hero4Black.

What can people use them for? They can be used for pretty much anything, such as filming from a car, filming from a first person viewpoint, or hiking the mountains. Anything a person might film ordinarily, the GoPro camera will be able to add angles and perspectives that had not been used before. The video quality is high and GoPro also has its own video editing software, that users can utilize when wanting to edit their videos.

Viral Videos

With the popularity of user-generated YouTube content, and social media sites like Vine and Instagram, the power of video only continues to grow. And the user-generated content of these sites also shows how powerful and viral unique content can be. The GoPro cameras help enhance the chances of a video going viral. And in fact some have, one in particular was shot by a New Jersey school teacher named Amanda Brewer. She uploaded an Instagram video shot with the GoPro camera while on a boat. She captured up close and personal a great white shark with its fearsome jaws open. The video instantly went viral on Instagram and its popularity was undoubtedly enhanced by the perspective that the GoPro camera was able to give her.

Anyone Can Create Compelling Content Now

Now that GoPro has started targeting users who aren’t action-sports enthusiasts, they are helping people from all walks of life create compelling content. Many people like filming important events in their life, funny happenings, or anything that strikes their fancy. With increased access to camera equipment like GoPro provides, they are now able to capture types of footage that previously was only accessible to professional filmmakers. With GoPro products users can create footage that’s of higher quality than what can be filmed on cell phones.

Now there is very little barrier to users creating content that can go viral. They can also create higher quality footage to share amongst their family and friends. GoPro’s popularity seems like it will only grow, with their latest offering towards a wider audience. The company seems intent on innovating their products on a regular basis. They also have a line of products targeted towards animals, so that owners can strap cameras on to their beloved pets to create “pet-perspective” videos, and they continue to expand and improve on their current product lines.
